On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Republic of Malta’s independence, His Excellency Dr Gavin Gulia, Ambassador of Malta to Poland, hosted a ceremonial reception in Warsaw on 19 September.
The event brought together numerous representatives from the diplomatic corps, government, academia, business, and international organisations.
The celebrations not only commemorated the historic moment when Malta regained its sovereignty in 1964, but also provided an opportunity to highlight the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Malta and Poland.
In his speech, His Excellency Ambassador Gulia emphasised the multifaceted nature of Maltese-Polish cooperation, grounded in shared values, a common European identity, and mutual trust. – Our relations are living proof that countries of different sizes can be strong partners on the international stage – said the Ambassador. He drew attention to the intensification of economic, educational, and tourism cooperation, which has gained exceptional momentum in recent years.
