On November 14, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Warsaw welcomed distinguished guests from the diplomatic, cultural, and business communities to a ceremony celebrating King’s Day.
Among the many attendees were Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and Christophe de Nijs, Director-General for European Affairs and Coordination at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In his welcome address, H.E. Rik Van Droogenbroeck, Ambassador of Belgium to Poland, underscored the strong and growing cooperation between Poland and Belgium, both bilaterally and within the European Union.
– The past year has once again been very busy, especially due to the Polish Presidency of the EU in the first half of 2025. The aim and motto of the presidency was to strengthen Europe’s security, and this goal has certainly been achieved through many important accomplishments – the Ambassador remarked. Among the key achievements, he highlighted the adoption of the SAFE instrument, additional sanctions packages against Russia, the pharmaceutical package, and the agreement on the digital entry-exit system.
