On 1 June, the ceremonial opening of the photographic exhibition “In Love with Portugal” took place at the Public Library of the Capital City of Warsaw.
The event was organised on the initiative of H.E. the Ambassador of Portugal to Poland, Mário Miranda Duarte, and proved an excellent occasion for lovers of Portuguese culture, art and photography to come together. The exhibition is an original project by Katarzyna Piwecka, a photographer who has spent years passionately documenting the beauty of places, people and cultures.
This time, she turned her attention to Portugal – a country that captivates not only with its picturesque landscapes, but also with its rich history, its traditions and the extraordinary atmosphere of its everyday life. The photographs capture all that gives Portugal its unique character. The charming streets of historic towns, sun-drenched squares, the majestic cliffs of the Atlantic, fishing ports, the traditional azulejos adorning the façades of buildings and scenes from the lives of local residents together portray a country full of contrasts and genuine emotion. The photographs are not merely a record of the places she has visited – they form a personal story of fascination with Portugal and an attempt to capture its very soul.
