On the occasion of the Czech Republic’s National Day, His Excellency Ambassador Břetislav Dančák and his wife hosted a reception at the Norblin Factory on 10 September.
The choice of venue was deliberate. At the time, the exhibition The Magic of Art Nouveau was on display there, featuring the works of Alfons Mucha – one of the most prominent representatives of the movement. His art, combining decorative style with profound symbolism, had a lasting influence at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition presents both Mucha’s iconic posters and his lesser-known works, showcasing his versatility and distinctive style.
Although the Czech Republic’s National Day is officially celebrated in October, the reception organised by the Embassy was held earlier, on 10 September, and drew a large number of distinguished guests. Among them were representatives of the diplomatic corps, Polish government officials, business leaders, academics, cultural institutions, and members of the Czech community in Poland.
