On 23 September 2025, a ceremony commemorating the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, as well as the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, was held in the Ballroom of the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw.
The event was attended by representatives of the Polish government, parliament, the diplomatic corps, academia, business, and cultural circles. Guests were welcomed by the new Chinese Ambassador to Poland, His Excellency Lu Shan, for whom this was the first official reception since assuming office.
In his speech, Ambassador Lu underlined the significance of recent decades for China’s development and its role on the international stage. – China has made a historic leap in development – from an impoverished economy to the world’s second largest – he said. – These achievements also underpin the dynamic growth of our cooperation with Poland, which Beijing regards as an important partner in Europe.
