A highlight of the program was the special focus on films from Hong Kong, made possible with the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Berlin (HKETO Berlin).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hong Kong cinema \u2013 celebrated for its diversity, stylistic boldness, and innovative storytelling \u2013 as long held a prominent place in global film culture. Polish audiences this year had the chance to experience six carefully curated titles, including works by both acclaimed directors and emerging talents. These films offered viewers a nuanced glimpse into the complexities of contemporary Hong Kong and the richness of its cinematic tradition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Culture as a Bridge Between East and West<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the festival\u2019s opening ceremony on November 12, Mr Billy Leung, Acting Director of HKETO Berlin, addressed the audience. In his remarks, he highlighted the power of cinema as a vehicle for cultural expression, dialogue, and creativity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2013 <em>Film is a powerful medium that serves as a bridge between cultures and is also one of the hallmarks of Hong Kong\u2019s creative industries.
