Thanks to an initiative by the Colombian Embassy in Poland, two exceptional concerts were held in late August and early September, featuring Andr\u00e9s Jaramillo, a Colombian-American pianist who captivated audiences with his artistry and passion for classical music.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first recital took place on August 31 in the historic interiors of the palace in Grodkowice, while the second was held on September 1 in the concert hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Co-organized by the W\u0142adys\u0142aw \u017bele\u0144ski Foundation and the University, the event underscored both the artistic and educational value of this cultural initiative.<\/p>\n

\nThe concert program was thoughtfully curated, featuring works by renowned Polish composers such as Fryderyk Chopin and W\u0142adys\u0142aw \u017bele\u0144ski, alongside pieces reflecting the rich cultural diversity of Colombia. The audience was treated to compositions by Luis A. Calvo, Germ\u00e1n D. P\u00e9rez, Jorge A. Salazar, Juan Domingo C\u00f3rdoba, and Paola M\u00e1rquez. The vibrant interpretation of the Colombian repertoire \u2013 with its distinctive colours, rhythms, and emotional depth inspired by different regions of the country \u2013 left a particularly strong impression.<\/p>\n

The Warsaw concert also included a special guest performance by Colombian pianist and composer Paola M\u00e1rquez. She presented her original Etudes for Immigrants \u2013 a poignant and introspective series of pieces exploring the theme of migration through both personal and universal lenses. Her performance was met with enthusiastic applause and stood out as a powerful artistic moment, highlighting music\u2019s capacity to reflect on pressing social issues.<\/p>\n
