To mark Armenia\u2019s National Day, the Ambassador of Armenia, H.E. Alexander Arzoumanian, and his wife hosted a concert and reception for distinguished guests.<\/p>\n

On 19 September 2025, members of the Armenian community, diplomats, government officials, and friends of Armenia gathered at the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage to celebrate the 34th anniversary of Armenia\u2019s independence. The event not only commemorated the historic 1991 referendum but also served as a moment of reflection on the region\u2019s current challenges and future prospects.
\nArmenia\u2019s Ambassador to Poland, H.E. Alexander Arzoumanian, opened the ceremony by underscoring the significance of the day:
\n\u2013 Thirty-four years ago, on September 21, 1991, the Armenian nation united in a historic referendum and voted overwhelmingly for independence, regaining sovereignty after decades of Soviet rule <\/em>\u2013 he said.
\nThe event emphasized that Armenian independence was not merely a political milestone but the culmination of a centuries-long struggle for survival and identity. As the world\u2019s first Christian state, Armenia has stood at the crossroads of civilizations for millennia \u2013 often at the cost of its independence and security. For this reason, the day carries profound significance as a symbol of resilience and renewed sovereignty.<\/p>\n
