Thai Festival in Warsaw

We hope that today’s event will give you a glimpse of the wonders Thailand has to offer,” said H.E. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Poland Urasa Mongkolnavin, opening the Thai Festival at a breakfast market in Warsaw’s Mokotow district on Sunday, September 8.

The event was organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Thailand Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Trade Office. The colourful, fun event attracted a large number of Varsovians.

The friendship between Thailand and Poland has flourished for more than 50 years, ever since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations. However, the depth of our relationship goes far beyond formal diplomacy. Our countries have forged close links in many areas, including politics, trade and investment, and most importantly, the dynamic exchanges between our people. We are delighted that you have joined us on this special occasion to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of Thailand, said H.E. Ambassador Urasa Mongkolnavin.

As the H.E. Ambassador announced, there was something for everyone at the festival. People could watch the Muay Thai competition “Road to Rajadamner”, where the best fighters from all over Poland competed. Art lovers could take part in workshops on paper-cutting techniques led by Saitip Majewska, a Thai PhD student at the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw. For connoisseurs of Eastern cuisine, top Thai chefs prepared regional dishes. Physiotherapists from Thailand revealed the secrets of the art of massage.
