Saudi Arabia’s primary document is the VISIA 2030 PROGRAMME DOCUMENT which sets out Saudi Arabia’s development strategy up to 2030. What development directions are outlined in it and what stage are they at?
Let me begin by greeting all readers of “Ambasador” magazine. I am happy that my homeland is being presented in your magazine and I hope that this presentation will be an inspiration to visit the Kingdom for tourism, business or education purposes.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 outlines a bold strategy to diversify its economy, reduce reliance on oil, and enhance citizens’ quality of life. Major initiatives include the futuristic $500 billion NEOM city, the Red Sea tourism project (almost 50% complete), and Riyadh’s transformation into a global hub. The program also prioritizes affordable housing, workforce skill development, and environmental sustainability through projects like the Saudi Green Initiative. Non-oil revenue amounted to SR118 billion in the third quarter of 2024, reflecting significant progress. However, some projects remain in early stages, such as Diriyah Gate at 15% completion, Saudi Arabia’s adaptive financial planning ensures stability while driving transformative growth.
