This year’s celebration is entitled “Bayanihan for Philippines and Poland @50” which aptly describes the deepening engagement between the Philippines and Poland as they move forward all aspects of their relationship in the next fifty years, particularly political, economic, scientific, cultural, tourism and people-to-people links and cooperation.
Bayanihan is a Filipino word meaning “working together to achieve a common good and helping each other overcome problems or difficulties”. Through this event, the Embassy has been given a golden opportunity to share the bayanihan spirit and present a glimpse of Philippine history and culture through the art of dance and music, performed by the country’s premier folkdance company.
