Italian Cuisine Week is a series of events dedicated to the promotion of Italian cuisine. From 16 to 22 November 2024, the ninth edition of Italian Cuisine Week was held in Poland under the motto ‘Mediterranean diet and culinary roots: health and tradition’, which ended with a gala dinner at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw.
This year’s program of the Italian Cuisine Week in Poland included a number of events. As part of the program, selected Italian restaurants in Poland offered special tasting menus designed to celebrate the original flavors of Italian culinary tradition.
On 18 November, a lecture by Professor Tessa Capponi-Borawska and Emiliano Castagna, vice-president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland, was held at a university in Warsaw, who introduced the audience to the history of Italian cuisine, the definition of quality gastronomic products and the stereotypes and false myths surrounding Italian cuisine. On the same day in Wrocław, the project organizers invited lovers of Italian cuisine to a live cooking show dedicated to the great Italian classics: pizza and pasta. Guests could watch the preparation of the iconic Italian dishes under the guidance of pizza masters and chefs.
