The evening of October 8, 2025, at the Mazovian Institute of Culture’s Auditorium was a true celebration of piano music.
Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Poland and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, the recital featured the exceptional piano duo Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatov – brothers whose talent and charisma are winning over audiences around the world. The performance stood out not only for its artistic excellence but also because Hasan Ignatov has been selected to compete in the ongoing 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw – one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world.
This is a tremendous honour for both the young artist and the entire Bulgarian musical community, which proudly follows Hasan’s path to international acclaim. His presence in Warsaw for a recital just before the competition was not only an opportunity to showcase his artistry, but also a chance to connect with an audience that will soon be watching his performances with great anticipation.
Born in 2003 in Shumen, Bulgaria, the Ignatov brothers are a phenomenon in today’s classical music world. Their musical journey began at a young age, and as teenagers, they were already winning awards at international competitions and performing on major stages. Today, they boast over one hundred prizes, appearances at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls – including Carnegie Hall in New York – and a debut album, Memories, released in 2024 and featuring their original compositions.
