Thousands gather to honour freedom, solidarity, and resilience.
On 24 August 2025, Castle Square in Warsaw was filled with thousands of people celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day.
This year’s event brought together both Ukrainians and Poles, united in a powerful expression of solidarity and remembrance.
The gathering was marked by deep reflection and solemnity. A minute of silence was held in memory of fallen heroes, and heartfelt gratitude was expressed for the soldiers defending Ukraine’s sovereignty – as well as for the ongoing support provided by Poland and the Polish people.
– This year’s celebrations reflect our reality – said Natalia Panchenko, Ukrainian activist and president of the Stand with Ukraine Foundation. – These are not concerts meant for entertainment, but a moment for reflection and pride in being Ukrainian – to thank those fighting for our independence, not only on the front lines, but in many other areas.
