A white concrete block in the heart of the capital is causing controversy, intrigue and attention. After nineteen years of wandering around Warsaw, the Museum of Modern Art has finally found a permanent home, inaugurated on October 25th by the Mayor of the capital in the presence of guests from Poland and around the world.
– This is a unique moment. It has been decades since there was a place in the capital built from the ground up with art in mind – said Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw, at the Museum’s opening ceremony. – We want to completely transform the centre of Warsaw. One of its symbols will be the MSN and the Central Square. I am very happy about this, especially as we have been waiting for this moment for many years – added President Trzaskowski.
