Mohamed Ali Naftim, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians of the Republic of Tunisia, visited Poland on 8-10 December 2024.
The highlight of the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Mohamed Ali Naftim, was a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radosław Sikorski. This was the first meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries in seven years and came in a year that marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Tunisia.
During the talks, the ministers expressed their desire to intensify political, cultural, scientific and economic relations. The first step towards closer relations is to be a political consultation at the level of deputy foreign ministers scheduled for 2025 in Warsaw.
During the meeting, the heads of diplomacy of Poland and Tunisia signed an agreement on cooperation between diplomatic academies. Under this agreement, there is to be an academic exchange of young diplomats.
During the consultations, the situation in the Middle East, the North African region and the Sahel was discussed, and a reference was made to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
