33rd Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Poland, hosted a reception on 17th September.

The official part of the ceremony commenced with the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Poland. Guests were warmly welcomed by H.E. Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev, who reflected on the recent history of his country. Uzbekistan embarked on a new chapter in its long and rich history on 1st September 1991, declaring sovereignty and beginning its journey of national development. His Excellency emphasised that Uzbekistan has made remarkable progress over the past three decades, evolving into a nation that honours its heritage while embracing modernity, cooperation, and progress.

As you are aware, in recent years, under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Mr Shavkat Mirziyoyev, we have been implementing an extensive and irreversible programme of reforms in all spheres of life, in line with the Development Strategy ‘Uzbekistan – 2030.’ We are committed to continuing our policy of creating a new Uzbekistan: one that is a legal, secular, democratic, and social state, said H.E. the Ambassador.
