On 15 September, His Excellency Ambassador Juan Sandoval Mendiolea hosted a commemoration of the 215th anniversary of Mexico’s struggle for independence, accompanied by the traditional Grito de Independencia ceremony in Warsaw.
The event, organised by the Embassy of Mexico in Poland, gathered representatives of the Polish government, parliamentarians, diplomats, business leaders, cultural figures, and friends of Mexico. In his address, Ambassador Sandoval Mendiolea stressed not only the historic importance of the day, but also the dynamic growth of Polish-Mexican relations across many fields – economic, cultural, educational, and tourism.
The Growing Importance of Bilateral Relations
Mexico and Poland, despite their geographical distance and membership of different economic blocs, are increasingly cooperating as strategic partners. – Mexico’s presence in Poland – in many diverse sectors – is greater today than ever before – noted the Ambassador.
